This was the first project when we moved into our house. I love it so much for the functionality. After having it for three years I decided that I was ready to take it to the next level.
I wanted to give my Billy bookcase entertainment centre a second life. All under $50. I knew I could do it with only two materials. Wood and knobs.
I used 2 inch spruce for the shelves and the mantle. I cut them down to size, drilled the holes for the pegs and made sure that they all fit perfectly. I used wood conditioner before staining them Early American (my fav colour!)
Then I got some inexpensive knobs from Rona and installed them in the centre of each door. Because I have 5 doors, I wanted to look to remain symmetrical
The shelves add so much warmth and I’m so glad that I did this!!!!!
