How to paint an ombre dresser? Ever think to paint your ikea dresser? How about a WATERMELON inspired dresser?
I’m currently working on a rainbow toddler girls bedroom. My client has a plain IKEA Hemnes dresser that she wanted to spruce up. I saw this ombre dresser from Hey Maca and was totally inspired! So I made this:

I found these handmade watermelon knobs from Lee Valley that inspired the colour palette for this dresser. They are such a steal at $3 each!

How to paint an ombre dresser:
To paint an ombre dresser choose hues from the same colour palette. This ensures that the colours flow nicely together. I added a pop of pink to for some fun and surprise. To learn how to paint furniture that never chips, check out my full tutorial on how to paint furniture.
For this, I used the following colours from Behr. I got these cute little samples for just $5 from Home Depot which are perfect for this project since I only used a small amount of paint.
Greens (from dark to light):
P420-7: Crown Jewel
P410-6: Solitary Tree
P410-4: Willow Hedge
P410-3: Shanghai Jade
Pink:
M170-2: Prairie Rose
Note: I waited 4-6 hours to paint the next coat of paint. This ensures the paint bonds to the primer.

To change the hardware, just screw in the new knobs. The screws that came with the knobs were too long, but I used the original screws from the IKEA knobs
